Prioritizing Health in Your Pet’s Golden Years

Annual check-ups are important for pets of all ages, but for senior pets, more frequent veterinary visits are very important. At Family Pet Clinic, we consider dogs and cats aged seven years and older to be senior pets. As pets age, they become more vulnerable to a variety of health issues, including diabetes, arthritis, heart disease, liver disease, and certain types of cancer.

To help catch these conditions early and mange them effectively, we recommend bringing your senior pet in at least twice a year. During these visits, our veterinary will perform a comprehensive head-to-tail exam, provide necessary vaccinations, and conduct lab tests tailored to our pet’s age and needs.

Routine check-ups allow us to monitor your pet’s healthy closely and keep you informed about any potential issues, ensuring your companion stays happy and comfortable in their senior years.
